Texas Truck Driver Seriously Injured in US30 Rollover Crash in Mohican Township
MOHICAN TOWNSHIP – A Texas man sustained serious injuries Sunday evening following a rollover crash involving a commercial truck on U.S. Route 30 in Ashland County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:34 p.m. near Township Road 405. A 2019 Freightliner truck and trailer, traveling eastbound on US30, veered off the north side of the roadway, entered the center median, and rolled over. The vehicle then struck a culvert and multiple roadway signs before coming to a rest in the westbound lanes and the median.
The driver, identified as 61-year-old Dwayne Glazier of Keller, Texas, was extricated from the wreckage by members of the Jeromesville Fire Department. He was initially transported to UH Ashland Samaritan Hospital and later transferred to OhioHealth Mansfield with serious injuries.
The westbound lanes of US30 between State Route 89 and Township Road 405 were closed for approximately four and a half hours as emergency crews responded to the scene and conducted cleanup and recovery efforts.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Jeromesville and Hayesville Fire Departments, Ashland County Emergency Management Agency, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Aber’s Towing & Crane Service of Ashland, and Hook-N-Haul Recovery Repair Towing & Transport of Litchfield.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
