US Route 250 Reopens After Two Semis Collide Near SR 60 Split in Ashland County
ASHLAND COUNTY — U.S. Route 250 has reopened after being temporarily shut down this afternoon due to a collision involving two semi-trucks near the intersection with Township Road 608, just north of the State Route 60 split.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, one semi was pulling out from Township Road 608 when it was struck by another semi traveling along U.S. 250. The impact tore the rear wheels off the trailer of the turning semi.
Emergency crews from the Ohio Highway Patrol, Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Savannah Fire Department, & EMS responded to the scene. Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported.
The crash caused the closure of U.S. 250 in the area as crews cleared the wreckage and conducted an initial investigation. The roadway has since been reopened, and traffic is moving normally.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
